I've done the unthinkable. Especially for a product junkie. I've downsized my handbag, swapping out my gigantic purse for a discreet mini cross body bag. A difficult task for any chronic over packer. I wasn't going to give up my height so my jumbo handbag had to go. The first mini purse I pounced on was this classically chic Dooney and Bourke satchel from the 80's, I found in my mums closet. She's the self-proclaimed queen of garage sales, paying only $5 for the saddle bag. What a score! I traded for it, in exchange I gave her a designer statement bag, 4 half used hidden lip glosses and mild case of back pain. Which is fine because I'm totally enamoured with all cross body saddle bags right now. I particularly love this one from Roots. I adore the simplicity, warm flesh tone tan colour (vegetable dyed) and the sleek little buckle/magnet closure. It's also the perfect size to fit all your essentials. The Italian leather satchel is a steal for $118...no $5 garage sale special, but it's still a great price. Available at Roots.com .
