TIFF 2015: Get Elizabeth Olsen's hairstyle

Toronto has turned electric ever since the start of the Toronto International Film Festival last Thursday. How can't you feel excited; new movies, actors peppering the streets, fancy bashes and cocktails, and—one of my favourite parts—the premiers. No matter what side of the velvet rope you're on, there’s something about a premier that just gives butterflies. Theatres around the city have throngs of fans—along with their deafening screams—all hoping to score a selfie with a celeb. Seems a tad silly when you watch it on TV, but seeing it in person makes you excited, the feeling truly is contagious. Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Hank’s wife in the film looked polished and elegant in a black satin Juan Carlos Obando gown, smoky brown eyes, glowing skin and a stunning texturized bun. “Elizabeth and I talked about doing an up-do; we wanted to keep it chic and not too overdone,” says Celebrity stylist Mark Townsend. “Textured up styles are such a huge trend because the hair is away from the face but still has a style to it,” he says. Townsend gave use the lowdown on how to recreate Olsen's timeless coif. Step 1: Start by placing a few drops of Dove Pure Care Dry Oil on damp hair and comb it through. I’m obsessed with this oil because it nourishes the hair from the inside and then seals the cuticle for smooth, silky hair. It never weighs the hair down! Step 2: Add a dollop of Dove Style + Care Nourishing Curls Mousse to hair and scrunch while blow-drying for texture. Step 3: When the hair is dry, take a small amount of Sally Hershberger 24K Texturizing Paste in hands and rake it through the hair for cool texture, hold, and to tame the flyaway hairs. Step 4: Then pull the hair back and twist it into a bun (you could easily pull hair into a ponytail and then wrap the ponytail around the base) and secure with bobby pins. When putting in bobby pins, always use an even number and apply them in “X” formation for added security. Step 5: To keep the hair in place (throughout the premiere and after party), finish by liberally spraying Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray all over. Elizabeth Olsen photo courtesy of Dove.
