Cheek stain may seem scary, but there's no reason to go pale at the sight of it. Here's why you should give this oft-overlooked blush a chance.
1. Cheek stain has excellent staying power without the need for setting powder.
2. On skin it looks like born-with-it rosiness from beneath the surface.
3. Although the colour appears intense initially, it blends to mimic the natural flush of nearly all skin tones.

Step 1:  Dot, dot, dot
After moisturizing skin, lightly dot the apple of one cheek with stain and immediately blend with fingertips.

Step 2: Highlight
A soft, shimmery highlight atop your blush adds dimension to cheeks, making them look a touch fuller and younger. Tap a few dots of cream shimmer along your cheekbone and blend toward your temple. If you prefer powder, use a blush brush to dust a small amount on the tops of cheeks.

Where to apply blush
Smile! "Concentrate the colour on just the apples of your cheeks if you want to make your face appear more narrow," says Gordon Espinet, makeup artist and vice-president of makeup artistry for M.A.C Cosmetics. "If you want to make your face look wider, blend the edges up and out from the apples of your cheeks toward your temples."
