My son has these tiny goose bump-like things on his cheeks, neck upper arms and now some are starting to appear on his stomach. They do not resemble acne. I have noticed now that my daughter, age 11, has some on her cheeks as well. My son is 15 and has said that some of his friends have this type of thing also. We are just very curious as to what this is?

It is difficult to know what these bumps are without seeing them however it is probably 'keratosis pilaris'. Keratosis pilaris is a skin condition where skin cells plug the hair follicles and small, dry bumps appear. You can read some information and see some pictures. It is best to see your family physician for a diagnosis.
