I'm 28 years old and have dark spots all over my face from tanning in my teenage years. I don't like looking at myself in the mirror. What do you recommend for treatment?
You should minimize further sun exposure with hats and a broad spectrum sunscreen.
The most common spots in your circumstance are likely lentigos. Lentigos have a small chance over many years of becoming cancerous, so look out for those that are out of step with the others. Here is a brief video which shows you how to examine your moles. It is however best to see a dermatologist to get them evaluated.
Vitamin A type creams are still the most effective creams for reversing sun damage. Chemical peels, intense pulsed light and lasers can also be used.
You would be best to see a skin expert (dermatologist) to determine the best option for you.
