What can I do to remove older, more visible scars?

This depends on the type of scars that you have. If the scars are red, using a silicone gel or patch can slowly deminish the colour. Lasers may also help. If your scars have thickened, these thickened scars can be injected with cortisone or lasered. Unfortunately, if you have white scars, these are hard to treat. You should really see a dermatologist to review your options. Best of luck. Richard Thomas, MD www.SkinCareGuide.ca
