I am 33 and have some acne and unwanted hair on my chin. I have tried a lot of creams and have had electrolysis but nothing seems to work. I was thinking about trying some herbal medications.

I am not sure whether you have acne or folliculitis from ingrown hairs or both. If this is acne, there are many treatments available, including creams, birth control pills, antibiotics or Accutane. If your problem is ingrown hairs, lasers are one solution. There is also a new product that slows down hair growth that has just become available in Canada. This cream is called Vaniqa but you will need a prescription from your physician. This cream is applied twice a day to the affected area and shows promise in slowing the growth of hair. Best of luck Richard Thomas
