I always get ingrown hairs from waxing my bikini line (I don't really want to go back to shaving). Loopha creams don't seem to work, nothing does. Short of laser or electrolysis treatment, do you know what I can do about it and what may be causing it in me? I am very fair and my skin is not the translucent type.

Waxing can cause twisting of the hair follicles, which increases the risk of ingrown hairs. If shaving and lasers are not options for you perhaps you could try depilatory creams. (For more information, read Laser hair removal. There is a significant new development for facial hair prevention. It is a prescription cream called Vaniqa which blocks an enzyme that is needed for hair growth. It is approved for lip and chin hair. I suspect that patients will try it on other locations. Laser treatment should not be ignored because it can produce very good results in the location that you are concerned about. For more about ingrown hairs, click here. Best of luck Richard Thomas
