Since I can remember I've always had little red dots on my arms. They went away for a year when I moved from Kamloops to Québec when I was a kid. But when I moved to Calgary, they came back. It was suggested that I needed vitamin A but even with that it hasn't improved. Is my skin just really dry or is it something else?

There are many causes of red dots on the arms. The clue I have is that somebody who has seen the rash suggested vitamin A, which makes me think it may be keratosis pilaris. This is a genetic condition and tends to improve during the summer months. It also tends to get better as you get older. If this is the correct diagnosis, using creams that contain lactic acid or glycolic acid after a shower may be helpful. I hope this hits the mark and is of value to you, although you should visit a doctor for a correct diagnosis. Best of luck Richard Thomas
