My wife has been diagnosed with indeterminate dermatitis -- a rash just above the belly button that may be caused by tension or diet. Can you elaborate?

The most common dermatitis that I see around the belly button is caused by an allergy to nickel. This is found in metal buttons. Check to see if the irritation corresponds with metal buttons on pants. It's difficult to give you more information without seeing it. You can read more about it at www.EczemaGuide.ca Best of luck Richard Thomas
