I work in the food industry and am constantly washing my hands. This has resulted in a dry itchy rash between my fingers. I cannot wear gloves constantly as they reduce dexterity and seem to make the rash worse. Are there any creams that I can apply during my work day to minimize the problem?

I suggest you wash with a gentle cleanser such as Spectroderm or Cetaphil. Vaseline (petroleum jelly) or Prevex might also be worth trying to protect the skin. Also, an irritant dermatitis may respond to a weak cortisone ointment. You should see your doctor to assess whether there may be a secondary yeast or bacterial infection. Best of luck Richard Thomas
