Fast-fashion and supportive style team up for this beautiful collaboration
Canadian fast-fashion giant Joe Fresh is partnering with Lemlem in an endeavour that will expand the reach of African craftsmanship and design in Canada. Created by Ethiopian-born model Liya Kebede, Lemlem uses traditional handweaving and crocheting garments in modern silhouettes—all while supporting African artisans and creating jobs across the continent. Designed in Lemlem's recognizable graphic stripes, the line includes swim- and beachwear for women and children. Proceeds from the limited-edition collaboration, $14-$39, will go to The Liya Kebede Foundation, which gives women in Africa access to maternity care. Find the collection in stores and online on May 15.
