Under $100: Best fashion and beauty buys for April

We made some great purchases in March and we're back with a new list of great items for this month. Here's what we're coveting, and as always, these are all under $100.

Spring has finally sprung, and this month, we're all about elevating our fashion and beauty game for the season. Here's what we're buying this month.

Beaded earrings with fringe, $23, zara.com.

It seems like statement earrings can't stop, won't stop. From kitschy shapes to graphic metal cut-outs, we've seen it all. This beaded and fringe tinged pair from Zara is totally worth pulling your hair back to show off these earrings. —Julia McEwen, fashion and beauty director

STAY HYDRATED

null

Miracle 10 Botanical Oil Concentrate, $82, miracle10.com.

I'm a sucker for a great hydrating oil—even when the weather gets warmer and my skin isn't so incredibly dry. What I like about this one (which isn't cheap but works great) is that it's so incredibly lightweight—I even used it when my skin was going through a breakout and it definitely helped. A combination of 12 oils help to brighten and hydrate. —Alexandra Donaldson, fashion and beauty editor

WALK THE LINE

Jersey dress, $30, hm.com/ca.

Trade navy and white stripes for red and white. An eye-catching striped t-shirt dress is one of those pieces that will never go out of style. Plus, it's styling potential knows no bounds. —JM

STEP OUT

Loafers, $90, aldoshoes.com.

With warmer weather beginning to poke its head out, I'm ready to ditch my clunky winter boots. This leather loafer is my ideal transition shoe for work on dry days. They can also fold down into a slide style for weekends. —Murissa Barrington, fashion and beauty intern

HAIR HYDRATION

Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque, $14, walmart.ca.

For those who struggle with very dry and damaged hair, Shea Moisture's Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque is a must try. After a couple weeks of back-to-back blowouts, my hair was dry, brittle and lifeless. This antioxidant-rich hair mask was able to bring my tight curls back to life and left my strands shiny and soft. —MB

La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive , $25, beautyboutique.ca.

If you have sensitive and demanding skin or maybe you just want a lotion that will feel super nourishing without any chance of irritation try this new launch from La Roche Posay. The fragrance-free formula claims to give 48 hours of hydration (thanks to the glycerin) while it's packed with the protecting prebiotics. Ceramides are in there to repair and vitamin B3 intensely soothes dry skin while also protecting its moisture barrier. It also has 73% La Roche-Posay thermal water, the highest concentration next to the brands namesake spray.  —JM

UPDATED CLASSICS

null

Dress, $31, forever21.com.

When shopping for new pieces to add to my wardrobe, I love to pick pieces that can do double-duty. This shirt-dress is an update to my typical white button-down when worn over jeans but also works great on its own for an off-duty look. —MB

STYLISH SUPPORT

null

Racerback Evolution Bra, $65, knixwear.ca.

Knix is a brand known for creating super comfortable intimates, and they've done it again with their latest release, the Racerback Evolution Bra. It's a medium-impact sportsbra, and it's very comfortable. It's hardware-free and has a ton of stretch thanks to fabric that keeps you dry and smelling clean. And it has removable cups. Basically, it's your go-to bra in the summer when wearing layers—even a bra—seems like the worst. —AD

STAY LIT

Fenty Beauty Body Lava body Luminizer in Brown Sugar, $69, sephora.ca

On the heels of the incredibly popular Killawatt highlighter, Fenty Beauty has put out a new way for us to stay glowing. The Body Lava body luminizer is a gel-based formula that promises to leave your skin dewy and sun-kissed from head to toe. What makes this even better is that it looks amazing on all skin tones and it's scented so you can look and smell like you're vacation no matter the weather. —MB

ASYMMETRICAL CLASSIC

null

Uniqlo X J.W. Anderson T-shirt, $25, uniqlo.com.

Uniqlo has some of the best collaborations in fashion and the best part is they are so accessibly priced. The combination of Uniqlo's Japanese minimalism with English designer J.W. Anderson's whimsy makes for a great collection. You can't go wrong with a shirtdress or a sweater (that one with a seagull motif is so good!) but my pick has to be the simple stripes t-shirt with a little asymmetrical detailing at the front. Simple, with a twist. —AD

PRIME TIME

null

Claris SOS Primer in Rose, Peach, Coral, Green and Lavender, $39, clarins.ca.

ROYALLY STYLED

null

Coat, $99, zara.com/ca.

The wedding of the year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's, is set to go down in less than a month between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In the meantime, I've been obsessing over Markle's effortless yet elegant style, especially the look she wore to the Commonwealth Day service. Though I may not have royal blood, I can still channel my inner duchess in this lookalike coat from Zara—MB

It all started last year with heeled mules and now the 90s revival is sticking around for the long haul. These flirty mules can play double duty, working hard in both your work and play wardrobes.
