Ingredients
- 4 sprays (approx) low-fat cooking spray 4 4sprays sprays(approx) low-fat cooking spray
- 1 large onion , peeled and diced1 1large oniononions, peeled and diced
- 1 can (8 oz/227 g) pineapple chunks , in natural juice1 1can (8 oz/227 g) can (8 oz/227 g)pineapple chunks, in natural juice
- 3 tbsp ketchup 3 3tbsp tbspketchup
- 1 tbsp Splenda® No Calorie Sweetener, Granular 1 1tbsp tbspSplenda® No calorie Sweetener, Granular
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar 1 1tsp tspwhite wine vinegar
- 2 tsp corn flour 2 2tsp tspcorn flour
Preparation
Heat the low fat cooking spray in a pan, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes until tender. Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice and chop finely. Add the chopped pineapple and the reserved pineapple juice, tomato ketchup, SPLENDA® Granulated and vinegar to the pan, and cook for 2 minutes until bubbling.
Blend the corn flour with a little water and add to the sauce in the pan, stirring continuously until thickened. Serve hot.
Additional information : Tip: Why not add cooked chicken to the sauce and serve with rice for a main meal. (chicken and rice not included in nutrition information)
