Bragging rights: Vancouver The fellow sitting next to me on the plane couldn't stop bragging about the seawall in Blackpool, England. When I tried to interrupt to share with him my favourite seawall in Canada he cut me off and continued to wax on about yet another seawall in England, one in Devon. This is the photo I wish I had on my iPhone at the time. It would have stopped Mr. Talking-Without-Breathing in his proverbial tracks. My pal Morgan Sommerville from Vancouver took this snap of the seawall in Stanley Park, one of the gems of British Columbia, and it was picked up by Inside Vancouver. I also wish I'd had the wherewithall to look the guy in the eye and repeat that line from Ozymandias: "Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" There, I've said it. I've gone on record.
