This lightened-up version of strawberries and cream is a pop worthy of any hot summer day. The berries are the star of this frozen treat, so use ripe, in-season strawberries for optimum flavour.
To make things really easy, scoop the ice cream up to three hours ahead of time and place it on a parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Then, transfer the sheet to your freezer until you're ready to serve.
These almond crescents are light and buttery with a delicate vanilla flavour. Vanilla sugar is sold in packets in most grocery stores and German markets. Or substitute icing sugar.
