For this weeks manicure I was hankering for something elegant with a side of wonder. And this is was Tips Nail Bar's Naomi Misu and I came up with, behold the half moon silhouette mani.

I've seen the half moon silhouette a few times on friends, but I've never opted for the look. My game plan when I got to Tips was to go for a navy lacquer with a solid silver moon, but Misu suggested I try this instead. Due to my mini nail beds (thanks mom...) a half moon has the tendency to make my teeny nails look even smaller. The outline of the moon was the perfect compromise. Like a creature of habit I stuck with a UV cured manicure, CND Shellac to be exact. The micro sparkle navy polish is Midnight Swim and the silver silhouette is Silver Chrome. Misu hand painted it on, free hand, the woman's got mad skills.
