This ultimate party dip comes with seven layers of different flavours and textures to create an irresistible dip that will satisfy all tastebuds.

Method

Guacamole: In bowl, mash avocado with fork until coarse paste with some larger chunks remaining; stir in cilantro, garlic, lime juice and salt. 

Pico de Gallo: In bowl, stir together tomatoes, onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and salt. 

In small saucepan, heat refried beans over medium heat, stirring often, until warmed through, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in hot pepper sauce. Let cool.

In 8- or 9-inch serving dish, layer bean mixture, cheddar, Guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, Pico de Gallo and jalapeño pepper. Serve immediately with tortilla chips. 

Test Kitchen Tip: Strain the Pico de Gallo before layering to stop juices from pooling as the dip is eaten.
