You can use it a variety of recipes: Yes, adding kale leaves to a smoothie or making kale chips are both delicious options, but there is a variety of other ways to use kale. Marinated kale is absolutely fantastic with any kind of grilled meat, fish or chicken, kale pesto is a deliciously healthy substitute to traditional basil pesto and kale leaves are a hearty addition to soups and stews. 3. It comes in various forms: If you're bored of using classic kale, try adding baby kale to your recipes instead. Baby kale is sweeter and more tender than its mature counterpart so it's a great way to introduce kale to a picky eater's diet. You can use baby kale in lieu of lettuce in salads, as a fresh topping for pizza or as part of a tasty sandwich.
