I first discovered the Staybowlizer at the Baking and Sweets show a couple years ago. I've been a convert ever since! It's by no means an essential kitchen gadget, but it is a useful one and does make several everyday kitchen tasks feel easy breezy. The Staybowlizer is a heat-resistant silicone circle which holds bowls in place while you're whisking or stirring in ingredients so you don't have to worry about your work bowl shifting or ingredients spilling. I use it when I make homemade mayonnaise, or when I'm using my hand mixer to make things like cake batter or cookie dough. It's also a good tool to use on top of a saucepan of simmering water when you're making custard or lemon curd. It's also very easy to wash and store, which is always a plus!
