In large pot, melt butter over medium-low heat until lightly browned.
Add marshmallows and vanilla, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat; stir in cereal, and sprinkles (if using) until well combined.
Transfer mixture to buttered 9-inch square cake pan, pressing down lightly. Let cool completely. Follow instructions to make Crispy Lollipop Treats or Crispy Santa Hats.
Crispy Santa Hats
Cut treats into 9 squares. Dab whipped cream on top of each square. Top each square with strawberry, cut side down. Top the tip of each strawberry with small dot of whipped cream as a pom-pom.
