Preheat oven to 350°F. In small saucepan over medium heat, stir together beer and sugar; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer until liquid has reduced by half, about 15 minutes. Set aside.

In separate saucepan over medium-low heat, whisk butter with brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla until melted and smooth. Stir beer mixture into butter mixture until combined.

In large bowl, whisk eggs with cream. Gently fold in beer-butter mixture. 

Evenly spread pecans over bottom of pie shell. Pour filling over top; bake for until crust is golden brown, about 45 minutes. Let cool for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
