Also known as glogg, this warming bevvie is an essential part of Christmas in Sweden. Have this mulled wine handy at your next holiday party so guests can sip on and enjoy the season of hygge.

  • Prep time 10 minutes
  • Total time 3 hours & 15 minutes

In slow cooker, combine wine, cloves, orange zest, star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger and sugar. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.

Add vodka; stir to combine. Divide orange slices (if using) among glasses; pour wine mixture over top.

Test Kitchen Tip: Slow cooking the glogg is a hands-free way of keeping the wine at the perfect temperature and ensures the alcohol doesn’t boil off.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
