5 spring table tips

Q. Does the fork go on the left or right?
A. My trick – remember that you cut with your right hand so the knife goes on the right- hand side and the fork sits on the opposite side. We take confusion out of the rest of the table setting with out interactive place-setting instructions in Your guide to a perfect table setting.

A white-and-green colour scheme on your table speaks to the freshness of the new season. Crisp white linens and branches of pussy willows with lots of greenery announce the end of dreary winter days. And rack of lamb is a show stopper on an early spring menu. Our 3 minute Rack of Lamb video will help you get started with instructions on how to French and prepare the rack for roasting – a truly impressive way to serve lamb.

For Easter, dress your table with pastels and tulips and laden it with the bounty of our Easter Dinner menu for 12. This buffet features a traditional Grainy Mustard Glazed Ham as the star. Not into ham? Not to worry! Check out our favourite Easter entrees to help plan your menu.

Top any spring menu off with a simple and elegant Sponge Cake (image featured above) with step-by-step photos for easy preparation. Displayed on a crystal cake stand, it will sparkle with the silver and china. We have the downloadable stencils to create a stunning centrepiece dessert in no time. We also tried the stencil with our Chocolate Espresso Torte with spectacular results – use icing sugar or cocoa powder for the decorative finish. Both these desserts are also perfect for a Passover table.
