The Caesar Sangrita offers its own special fresh Mexican flare with a blend of orange juice, Mott's Clamato and tequila. The OJ adds a citrus hit that pairs beautifully with tequila, making this cocktail bright and refreshing...and unlike anything you've ever tried before!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • Freshly cracked black peppercorns, to taste (about 2 grinds)
  • Pinch coarse sea salt
  • 1 1/2 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz 100% blue agave tequila
  • 3 oz Mott's Clamato Lime Cocktail

Rim: Coarse salt and freshly cracked black peppercorns
Garnish: Orange wheel and orange twist

Rim a highball glass with citrus and rimmer. Fill with ice cubes. Add ingredients in the order listed and mix well. Garnish and enjoy!

TIP: Switch up your citrus and substitute the orange juice with tangerine or grapefruit juice. Add herbs for extra fragrance.

CLAMDIGGER CAESAR

Elevate the classic spicy Caesar by amplifying those salty and savoury seafood notes. It's simple: Just add some extra clam nectar and garnish with white wine–steamed clams. Freshly cracked pepper adds a little more fire.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz gin
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Freshly cracked black peppercorns to taste (about 5 grinds)
  • 1 oz clam nectar
  • 3 oz Mott's Clamato The Works Cocktail

Rim: Celery salt or Mott's Clamato Rimmer
Garnish: Clams steamed in white wine, herbs and Mott's Clamato Cocktail

Rim a highball glass with citrus and rimmer. Fill with ice cubes. Add ingredients in the order listed and stir to mix well. Garnish and enjoy!

TIP: Want for more clam flavour? Add another shot of clam nectar. The world is your clam... er, oyster.

SOME LIKE IT HOT
For many Canadians, Caesars are synonymous with sunny days. Come summer, we're not just red-blooded—we're Caesar-blooded. So it's only fitting that Dan Aykroyd, one of Canada's most beloved comedians, developed his own version of the iconic drink for National Caesar Day...and, oh, boy, is it hot! Get the recipe at MottsClamato.ca/NationalCaesarDay. Can you handle the heat?
