Method
In saucepan, heat half of the oil over medium heat. Add sausages and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Set aside on plate.
In same skillet, heat remaining oil; add onion, garlic, carrots, red pepper, cumin, coriander and paprika. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add tomato paste, bay leaves, broth, lentils, sweet potato and Swiss chard; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes; discard bay leaves.
Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with cilantro and serve with lime wedges, if using.
