Serve these hearty supper sandwiches with tangy coleslaw, a crisp green salad or grilled corn on the cob.

Method

In small bowl, whisk mayonnaise with steak sauce; set aside.

Brush both sides of onion slices with 1/2 tsp olive oil; sprinkle with a pinch each salt and pepper. Place on greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill, turning occasionally, until golden and softened, about 8 minutes. Transfer to plate; separate into rings and keep warm. Place rolls, cut sides down, on grill; cook until golden, about 3 minutes.

Sprinkle steaks with a pinch each salt and pepper. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and grill, turning once, until medium-rare, 4 to 6 minutes. Cut steaks against the grain into 1/8-inch (3 mm) slices; serve in rolls with mayonnaise mixture and onions.
