Weeknight barbecue recipes: Week 1 menu

Summertime is the perfect time to get saucy. With just a few simple ingredients, you can turn the flavour up on your weeknight barbecue. Marinades ensure that your meat stays moist, and sauces are the perfect sweet finish to grilled veggies.

We've created a printable list of everything you'll need to make this week's dinner recipes. Just click here to print!

Fig Balsamic-Glazed Chicken Thighs

Chicken thighs make for an inexpensive weeknight dinner that stays juicy on the grill. Slather the thighs in the remainder of the deliciously sticky glaze right at the end of grilling so it doesn't burn. We suggest serving our Orange Quinoa Salad alongside the chicken, but you could try one of our top summer salads, too.

Grilled Cajun Shrimp With Summer Vegetable Orzo

Looking for a quick dinner? Look no further than your freezer, pantry and crisper. Frozen shrimp thaws fast and cooks on the grill in minutes. Mix the orzo with a variety of summer veggies and you'll have a flavourful dinner on the table quickly.

Grilled Bacon-Stuffed Pork Chops
Just when you think you've heard it all, we give you bacon-stuffed pork chops. This recipe takes a few extra steps than classic pork chops, but the flavour is worth it. Make the meal gluten-free by using your favourite gluten-free bread for the stuffing.

Grilled Pizza
We topped this pizza with fresh tomatoes, grilled eggplant and basil, but you can customize it with whichever seasonal toppings you enjoy. Just don't forget the oregano!

Salmon Kabobs With Baby Bok Choy
Grilled salmon is a summertime favourite, so why not turn it into a kabob? Keep this marinade on hand, as it works wonders on other fish, such as tilapia and trout.
