Suffering From Bloating? Make This Natural Drink Every Morning
Bloating, a swollen stomach, sluggish digestion...We can help with that.
There's a new drink we're sipping on this summer. It's a blend that activates the digestive system, soothes inflammation, and promotes good gut health.
Made with ginger, lemon, honey, and chia seeds, this easy-to-prep homemade drink works wonders. These four ingredients are known for their digestive benefits:
- Lemon, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, stimulates bile production and promotes good digestion. Its natural acidity also helps balance the stomach's pH.
- Ginger, a powerful anti-inflammatory, is known to relieve nausea, activate digestion, and reduce bloating. It also helps calm intestinal spasms.
- Unpasteurized honey has prebiotic properties that nourish our intestinal flora. It also acts as a natural stomach soother.
- Chia seeds, rich in soluble fibre, swell upon contact with water and promote healthy bowel movements. They also contribute to better satiety and blood sugar regulation.
The Anti-Bloat Drink Recipe
Prepare these digestion cubes in advance to store in the freezer. All you need to do in the morning is dilute in warm water.
Ingredients per cube:
1 tbsp fresh ginger juice
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp chia seeds
A splash of water
Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
2. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray.
3. Place in freezer for a least 4 hours.
4. Every morning, take out a cube, dilute in lukewarm water (never boiling, to preserve the benefits of honey), and enjoy on an empty stomach.
