Tired of your old winter coat? Trade it in!

We all have one: a winter coat that sits in the back of the closet and never gets worn. But there are a lot of people in Canada who can’t afford a winter coat or even a hot meal. This fall, the activewear brand Lolë is bringing back its Yellow Label campaign, which invites you to bring in your gently used coat and get a $50 discount at Lolë stores. The coat can be any brand, size or style, but must be clean and suitable for someone to wear for at least another winter. The used coats are cleaned, then resold for a low price (any unsold coats are donated), and the proceeds go to local food banks and charities. Meanwhile, you can put your $50 towards buying another coat—or something else to keep you warm this winter. Here are some ideas: [caption id="attachment_7810" align="aligncenter" width="240"] Alta Jacket Alta Jacket, $400, lolewomen.com.[/caption] This waterproof and windproof coat was designed in partnership with Canadian Olympic snowboarder Ariane Lavigne. It's available at Lolë in early November. The stand-up collar keeps your neck warm without getting in the way. It features a fuzzy-lined collar, Thermaglow Max insulation and a long body to protect your bum from the cold. The chance to clean out your closet, give to charity and get a discount on some new winter wear lasts until Dec. 1. Don't miss it! Find a drop-off location near you at lolewomen.com/yellowlabel.
