10 lovely ways to update your loo

My what a lovely loo! Bathrooms designed by Jane Lockhart,  Jane Lockhart Interior Design. Can bathrooms really be beautiful? Absolutely! Here are 10 fresh and inexpensive ways to beautify any style and size of loo. For larger bathrooms with showers and tubs, look for vinyl-coated papers designed specifically for kitchens and baths. 2. Replace a plain bathroom mirror with a framed one in a metal or metallic finish. A swivel mirror like the one below can be tilted to adjust to various heights. 3. Banish white walls and go for a little colour. Shades of grey, pinky-beige and blue do wonders for the complexion – and remember to stay away from yellow and green! Hang an elegant chandelier to add ambiance in an ensuite. 5. Cover windows with light-diffusing window blinds to create a calm, serene environment. Don't worry – today's bathrooms are so well ventilated that your art will be safe. Large pieces like the one below create the illusion of a window with a view! 7. Plants and flowers thrive on the moisture in a bathroom and can add a chic and elegant touch.
8. Replace outdated taps and faucets with more water-efficient and stylish models, and add a panelled skirt to a standard tub as shown below. For an easy DIY project, check out Bondera Tile Mat Set, a new product that makes setting tiles cleaner, faster and easier on walls or countertops. Bondera is available at Home Hardware and other home improvement retailers across Canada. [caption id="attachment_704" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Bondera Tile Mat Set[/caption]
