How about a ride in an EcoCab?

Something quite interesting came to my attention the other day. The InterContinental Toronto Yorkville (a downtown hotel) is featuring an EcoCab. They will be offering the service to their guests for trips in and around the downtown core. You can certainly be pedaled around Toronto in style in one of these babies. Toronto saw the debut of the EcoCab last April. It's inception here was, according to their website, a result of rising gas prices, ongoing TTC disputes and the ongoing push to explore other, more environmentally conscience modes of transportation. Fueled by a pedal powered transmission, this form of transportation is 100 per cent emissions free. The EcoCab is also funded by corporate sponsors, and that is why you can cruz around downtown Toronto for free. Check it out: glblogecocab.jpg Think we'll spot any glitterati being driven in an EcoCab to movie premiers at this year's Toronto International Film Festival?? It certainly would be a nice alternative to their gigantic, black SUVs. Would you take a tour in the eco-cab? Read more:A crash course in clean-air drivingWhat you can do to reduce smog
