“Many of the most livable cities in Canada are large cities, thanks to good employment opportunities and household income,” says the recent report. 

These are the top 10 Canadian cities to live in right now. 

1. Guelph, Ont.

Average home price: $745,000

Boasting a higher-than-average household income, tons of green space, and the title of one of the safest cities in Ontario, it’s no surprise that Guelph takes first place. With a lively arts and culture scene, over 1,000 hectares of parks, and more than 70 kilometres of parks and trails, this city is a vibrant place to put down roots. 

2. Saskatoon, Sask.

Ranked as the third most liveable city for young professionals, this prairie city has one of the lowest costs of living in the country. This makes it a great place for young homebuyers. Coupled with an emerging food scene and the iconic South Saskatchewan River, this city is also one of the sunniest places in Canada, seeing about 320 sunny days per year.

3. Halifax, N.S.
