Decor & Renovation
Our favourite decor and design Etsy shops
Sometimes the best decor finds happen when you ditch big stores and do a little design sleuthing online. Enter, Etsy. A great resource for everything from jewellery to vintage art to handmade good and yes, even design and decor. Some of our favourite hand made items to shop for include ceramics (to embrace a bit of that Wabi Sabi style), art (for a truly one-of-a-kind and affordable print purchase) and textiles (everything from screen-printed to hand dyed).
Here are a few of our favourite Canadian shops to pick up made-with-love goods.
Your Pal, Al
This collection of concrete wares includes planters, ornaments and small furniture, all made by hand by shop owner Allie Croza.
Small concrete planter, $15, etsy.com/yourpalalcreative.
Mud and Stone
This Winnipeg-based shop sells mostly ceramic wares including mugs, serving plates and other kitchen wares. The designs come from Lynne Mulvihill and Jenn McCurry who are designers and artists.
Tapas Plate, $20, etsy.com/mudandstone.
Although now based in Seattle, this shop is run by Toronto native Sacha Columbia who is a ceramic artist and graphic designer. We especially love her foray into printed textiles.
Set of 3 Shibori Cotton Tea Towels, $65, etsy.com/savannahtheetsy.
