Colour therapy
Well. It was
quite a
weekend here in Toronto. And as if the current events weren't enough, the weather was cold, grey and
very wet. Harrumph! I sought solace – and yarn for
sweater #6 – at
The Purple Purl. Good company, a tasty treat and a boatload of colourful yarn go a long way to making me smile.
I came home with an armload of Tanis Fibre Arts Green Label in
Pink Grapefruit. I love, love, love this colour!
Jennifer, one of the owners of the Purl, told me that this yarn would go well with grey – which seemed fitting on a grey day, and since grey forms a major segment of my wardrobe. Her instincts were confirmed as soon as I set the first skein on my beloved kitchen table.
It didn't take long to work up the swatch. It's not often that I feel like keeping my swatches, but this one just looks so nice all pinned out on the black background.
(Can you tell that I changed my SSK method after the first lace repeat?)
I'm looking forward to casting on tonight. And I'm wondering: What's your favourite colour these days?
