How to make Easter place cards

Delicate blown eggs make elegant place cards ideal for your Easter table. Tuck an inspirational springtime message into each egg. When guests gather at the table, they can read their message out loud to set the mood and get conversation flowing.

Materials

  • Eggs
  • Nail
  • Bowl
  • Sharpie
  • Decorative paper
  • Scissors
  • 2 to 3 feathers per place setting

Directions

Step 1: Wash the eggs with soap and water and allow to dry. Use a nail to carefully poke a hole into each end of one egg. Enlarge the holes slightly by inserting the nail partway into the egg on each end and rotating carefully. Wiggle the nail in and out of the egg to break up the yolk.

Step 2: Place your mouth over one hole and blow. The egg will slowly drip out of the other end so use a bowl to catch the contents. If your egg won't come out, try wiggling the nail in and out of the hole again to further loosen the yolk inside before blowing again.
