Make Merry: a DIY mini pom tree

YAY - SCHOOL'S OUT!!!

If these words fill your heart with dread, fear not: keep small hands busy at the start of the holiday school break crafting a veritable forest of mini pom trees to decorate your table (or mantle, or window sill...) in time for the holiday feast. This project is sweet, simple, and requires little intervention from you. You Will Need: IMG_4191
  • Craft store mini pom poms (this pack of ombre green pom poms came from the local dollar store!)
  • floral cone
  • craft glue
  • wood section (optional - these mini trees already have a flat base but we had wood sections on hand and couldn't resist)
Here's How: 1. Get glueing: start at the wide base and glue pom poms onto the floral cone until you reach the top. Add a tree topper such as a mini ornament, a bow made out of ribbon, or a gift wrap bow. We used a slightly larger sparkle pom pom. IMG_4193 2. Glue a wood section to the base of your tree, or alternatively, trace the base of your tree onto the back of a piece of felt or pretty craft paper, cut out the circle and affix it to the base of your tree. Isn't it cute?
