Hi friends, Canada Day is only a week away – do you know how you'll be celebrating yet? I'm hoping to watch some fireworks and sneak in some mid-week sewing. Perhaps a patchwork maple leaf will be the order of the day. I was so excited to open my inbox this morning to find an email from Canadian Living reader Linda Johnstone with a photo of her finished Maple Leaf Quilt Square – made using the pattern in the "So Hip, It's Square" story in our July 2010 issue. Didn't she do a great job? I'm hoping that lots of you will try this project and send me your photos, because we're going to feature our favourites in the July 2011 issue of the magazine. Will you make a potholder? A picnic blanket? A quilt for a loved one who lives overseas? I can't wait to see what you create!
