Everything We Know About The TV Adaptation Of ‘Every Summer After’
The classic beach read set in Ontario cottage country is finally set to be brought to life.
Amazon Prime Video has announced that production on the TV adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling book, Every Summer After, is officially in full swing.
Told over the course of six years in the past and one weekend in the present, the story follows Persephone (Percy) Fraser, a Torontonian who spent her summers lakeside in Barry’s Bay. After receiving a devastating call nearly a decade after her last visit, Percy is forced to return to cottage country and confront her past.
While a release date is yet to be announced, Amazon Prime unveiled the names of the main cast.

Saltburn’s Sadie Soverall will star as Percy, alongside Matt Cornet (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) as her love interest, Sam Florek.
Michael Bradway will play Sam’s older brother, Charlie, while Aurora Perrineau will play Chantal, Abigail Cowen is set for the role of Delilah, and Joseph Chiu will play Jordie.
“I couldn’t be more excited about this fabulous cast! This is an enormously talented group of actors, whose auditions made me laugh, swoon, and cry. I know they’ll have fans of Every Summer After falling in love with their favourite characters all over again,” said author Carley Fortune in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
Every Summer After was published in 2022 and spent 14 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. After Amazon’s series announcement, the book returned to the list yet again.
The story is set in Fortune’s real-life hometown in the heart of Ontario cottage country, drawing inspiration from her summers spent in the lakeside community.
