Loveys: a child's first best friend

Have you seen this video? It's a sweet story about a little boy being reunited with his favourite stuffed monkey after three years. He had received it as a birthday gift from his grandparents for his first birthday. Sadly, on a family camping trip to Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park, Ah-ah, the blue monkey, was lost. The family returned home to Omaha without the boy's most cherished pal. However, his mother never gave up hope and was recently able to reunite her son with his favourite childhood toy. Watch the video to see the heart-warming reunion. [HTML1] This little story instantly reminded me of my niece and her precious lovey. Little Cassandra and "Baby" were inseparable. Baby was always there to comfort her, play with her and take her happily into dreamland every night. One time, while vacationing in Florida, Baby got left behind at a restaurant during dinner. There was no consoling Cassandra that night. She was heartbroken. Seeing her little red eyes in the morning light was too much for her mom to bear. She called the restaurant, drove over 120 kilometres that morning and brought happiness back into the heart of her little girl. [caption id="attachment_13352" align="aligncenter" width="208"] Cassandra and "Baby" were never far apart, even on her big day as a flower girl.[/caption]   Kids and their loveys... it's such a beautiful thing, until they become separated. Then it's just heart-wrenching. Have you helped a child reunite with their most cherished lovey?
