Points of pride
My first point of pride would have to be the people. I moved here from L.A., not because of the weather, but because of the people. In my books, Torontonians are great!

The atmosphere in the Big Smoke is unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. It has a New York City vibe without all the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.

I also love how centralized Toronto is: a couple of hours north of the city, and you'll be camping in the woods or sitting on a lake. And a couple of hours south will lead you straight to Niagara Falls or right to the Canada-U.S. border. â€¨â€¨It's really quite convenient.

Places to visit
I know that most people say you must see the CN Tower or you have to go to Ripley’s Aquarium. I disagree–you can see the CN Tower from pretty much anywhere in the city. I would tell visitors to check out  Kensington Market, The Distillery District, King St. West, the Ossington area, and make a stop in Little Italy to have an espresso.

Places to eat
The restaurant scene in Toronto is the best it has ever been and is, quite possibly, one of the best in the world. I would even say it's beating Montreal right now by a landslide.

If you’re in the mood to spend a couple of bucks, check out Patria, Byblos, Weslodge, Canoe, The Chase, Colette Grand Cafe, Cluny, BucaRodney's Oyster House, and Bar Isabel.

For something cool and casual, check out the stream of Mexican joints all across the city: Playa CabanaPlaya CantinaPlaya Hacienda, and Barrio Coreano. Also add Grazie, Terroni, Cibo, Stockyards, and Holy Chucks to your list. See? There are just so many amazing restaurants, which makes Toronto a foodie's paradise.
