This is a mildly spiced Indian classic in miniaturized form. Pappadams, an Indian cracker bread, are available as mini-size snacks from Shikar brand in Indian grocery stores and some supermarkets. They come in a variety of flavours (including our favourite, black pepper), and one container will have more than enough for this recipe. Or serve on toasted pita wedges, rice crackers or melba rounds.
This simple chicken dish bakes up moist and juicy. The women recommend using pasta sauce because it contains herbs and spices, but puréed tomatoes work just as well. It's also delicious with other chicken parts.
Start with melon wedges to whet your appetite for this quick and light dinner.
This is so delicious that it won't be only the vegetarians clamouring for more.
These pitas are a great way of using leftover chicken. When sending it for your child's lunch, package the pita, tomatoes, chicken and tahini sauce separately. Include a spoon or plastic knife so your child can have fun assembling it just before eating.
Shrimp and bacon are savoury partners in this lightened-up creamy appetizer. To keep your washed herbs fresh, wrap them in paper towels and store them in a resealable bag for up to one week.
