Winter style staple: Camel Cashmere

[caption id="attachment_910" align="aligncenter" width="260" caption="Cashmere dolman sweater, Gap, $138."] Cashmere dolman sweater, Gap, $128.[/caption] I'm surrounded by Gap enthusiasts at the office. Almost every Thursday one of the members of the style team will be sporting a new find that they scored from the retail giant the day before. Why Wednesdays you ask? Well, that's known as Gap's deal day. You're allowed to take 40% off one regularly priced item. Next time you go in just ask the sales rep for one of their snazzy coupon booklets. I've never had much luck at this American fast fashion retailer, it's a little too subdued for my personal taste. The last time I nabbed something was from the Gap CFDA khaki collection in the summer of 2009. A simple pair of pleated short shorts, designed by the great Alexander Wang. Until a recent trip to Gap with my boyfriend to replenish his dwindling jean wardrobe. I spent some time scanning the merchandise while he was in the change room. In my search, my hand grazed over the most luxurious ultrasoft fabric, I knew right away it had to be cashmere. Upon further inspection this creamy camel dolman sleeve sweater had to be mine. It's one of those pieces that you slip on, immediately making you feel a little more luxe. It fits slightly oversize, perfect for laying or just wearing as is. I held off on buying it right away because I wanted the 40% savings. The anticipation almost killed me. When Wednesday rolled around I made the purchase and I've never looked back, worth every penny. Rather than the traditional tacky Christmas sweater, I think I'll be living in this baby over the Holidays. Available in camel, charcoal heather, constellation blue, true black, heather grey and royal purple from small to x-large, Gap.ca .
