M.A.C Cosmetics gives a beauty-inspired tribute to the festival of lights.

M.A.C Cosmetics is often teaming up with brands and celebrities for exciting limited edition makeup collaborations. But the latest from the brand takes a different turn. The cosmetics giant has released a limited edition eyeshadow palette to celebrate the Diwali festival.

The palette contains nine, Diwali-inspired shades, ranging from an intense matte black to a shimmery pink. Offering a touch of warmth here, and an expressive shadow there, this palette embodies Diwali's celebration of turning darkness into light. "We choose colours that signify the festive element of this holiday," shares Nicole Masson, VP, Product Development, M·A·C Cosmetics, "but we also chose colours that pop and reflect off the skin such as rich cranberry, jewelled emerald green, lavish gold and of course class black for definition." 

The packaging draws on golds, blues and pinks and is inspired by the flickering of flames and fireworks. Pick up your own Diwali-inspired palette on October 6, 2016 at M.A.C locations or online until November 17, 2016.
