The best nail polish looks for spring

The good news is, there's a polish look that everyone can achieve this spring. Forget over-the-top and intricate nail art—if you want to go almost-bare you can and still be on trend this spring. But if you prefer more colour, we've got a bit of that too.

Perfect pastel

Sheer, pastel pink is a fan-favourite this season and Band Of Outsiders was no exception.

Almost bare

At the Carolina Herrera show, nail pro Rita Remark created painted model's nails with Essie 'Spaghetti Strap' for a fresh and minimalist take on spring.

Colour please

Sally Hansen nail artist Madeline Poole, posted this graphic and fun nail art to her Instagram account.

Pretty in pink

At Altuzzara, a sheer, pale pink was applied to clean and rounded fingernails.

Summer ombre

Rebecca Minkoff models wore this summery ombre look. Reminds you of a summer suns

Heavy metal

At Michael Costello, bold gold met metallic fuchsia for a stunning look.

Pop of pastel

Sally Hansen recommends playing with saturated hues alongside pastels for an energetic spring look.

Mix and match

At the Sally Lapointe show, muted neutrals were shown with a metallic accent nail to stunning effect.

Split

Negative space is huge for nails this spring. Paul Andrew models wore bare nails with a simple metallic stipe down the middle adding a modern touch.

Going dotty

For SS16, Adam Selman models also had the negative space trend, with only a navy dot (placed in different places from nail to nail) as the art.

New wave French mani

At Victoria Beard, nail pro Rita Remark turned the French mani on its head by adding a very welcome dose of colour in the form of iconic hue, Essie Clambake.

Simple stripe

At the Ji Oh show, Remark created a graphic look with simple skinny lines, which helped to elongate the nails.

Nude

At Diane Von Furstenberg for SS16, models went down the runway with clean, bare nails—which made a statement despite a lack of colour. The key here is to keep it clean and trim.

Chunky

A chunky French-mani-inspired look at Lucian Matis was a welcome geometric hit to the otherwise feminine look.

Dreamy silver

The cloudy, almost antique-looking silver polish at Philip Lim was a softer take on the metallic trend.
