How to embrace sixties mod like Taylor Swift

We love Taylor Swift’s ladylike street style, including her baby blue frock and peach square-toe heels pictured below. It has a sixties vibe without feeling costumey (i.e. no cheap patent, over-the-top accessories or mod haircuts here). Try the look for yourself (with a longer hemline, if that floats your boat), and be ready to do the twist on down the street. Groovy, baby.

Step 1: Pick a boxy shift dress in a graphic print or pastel. Make sure it hits anywhere from mid-thigh to just above the knee and choose a high neckline or Peter Pan collar to balance out the short length. If your dress is sleeveless or long-sleeved and has a simple round neckline, wear a white collared shirt underneath as an added layer on cool days.

Step 2: Pair your dress with square-toed ballet flats or low chunky heels. If you prefer a boot, go for ankle boots or a pair that hits just below the knee and has a square or round toe.
