While in the warmer months my masking tends to focus on clearing out my pores, the cooler weather is all about moisture—all of the moisture. I'll be using a moisturizing mask weekly (at least) to keep my skin feeling soft, smooth and incredibly hydrated. - Alexandra Donaldson, fashion and beauty editor
Caudalie Moisturizing Mask, $47, sephora.com.

Pantone, the colour authority, announced in early December that Living Coral is the colour of 2019. They describe the hue as “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge”. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? If you’re unsure if you can wear it try it in a low risk accessory. I love these fringy earrings. - Julia McEwen, fashion and beauty director
Fringe Earrings, $12, eBay.ca.
I'm all for easy basics—even better if they have an interesting or noteworthy twist. Which is why I'll be picking up this pinafore-style dress. It's a very relaxed shape and made out of a cotton blend which basically means I'll wear it all winter long over turtlenecks and then switch to tees in the summer. - AD
Dress, $68, oakandfort.com.

I love earrings but I don’t wear them very often. Instead, I tend to collect pairs that catch my eye and keep them stored away until I feel inspired to wear them. But this year, I want to actually make the effort and start with this stunning pair from Jenny Bird. It’s been on my radar for a minute, and while I already have more than a few pairs of earrings ready to go, I just couldn’t resist showing these off. - Linda Cotrina, web producer
The Andies Earrings, $95, jenny-bird.ca.

When it comes to skin care I wouldn’t consider the category to be fun—but masking kind of bridges the gap. Especially when it’s found in an easy to use, serum soaked, one use sheet mask. I love Garnier’s Moisture Bomb masks. Each mask has half a bottle of hydrating serum that’s perfect for sending a moisture surge to parched skin. - JM
Garnier Super Hydrating Glow-Boosting Sheet Mask, $3.28, walmart.ca.

Simple jewellery is my jam and so adding good quality pieces in simple styles is what I'm looking to do this year. First up, I'll be dropping some serious cash on some picks from Canadian brand Mejuri, which is just my style. This simple ring can be worn on it's own or stacked with others. I've also got my eye on some fun earrings too. - AD

The winter tends turn my skin into a dry, flaky mess but thankfully I’ve been able to keep it as moisturized and as supple as possible thanks to this rich, luxurious cream from Biossance. It’s formulated with lipids that mimic and support the skin’s natural moisture barrier to ensure your visage is staying nourished all winter long. - LC
Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, $68, sephora.com.
I'll be travelling quite a bit over the next couple of months, which means I'm looking to streamline the makeup I pack. Thanks to this perfect shade of red from Bite Beauty (Canadian and all-natural) I've got my pout covered. This shade is super flattering on my cool and pale skin tone and the formula is incredibly moisturizing. Red not for you? The brand has over 40 more shades to choose from. - AD
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Cayenne, $30, sephora.com.

Canadian accessory brand, Poppy and Peonies, consistently comes out with cute and affordable bags and jewellery. This boxy version of a clutch looks like a miniature steam trunk complete with push lock closure. I love the playfulness of the colour combined with the hard lines of the shape. -JM

I'll admit, I've resisted the white boot trend until now. I've thought that they'll get dirty too easily and I've thought that I'm not sure I have outfits that will work. But after seeing a slew of my colleagues and women around town rocking the white boot—with shirts and dresses, distressed denim and even fancier night-out wear—I think I'm finally sold on the trend. I'll be picking up a pair with a low block heel like this Steve Madden pair, which also has a little added western-influenced detail. - AD
Steve by Steve Madden Lee Bootie, $100, dsw.com.
