Women wore black at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards
This year's Golden Globes red carpet was a little different, as you undoubtedly saw if you tuned in. Many women eschewed colourful and sparkling gowns in favour of black. It is a direct response to the recent slew of men in Hollywood and across all industries that have been accused of sexual assault and harassment and is part of a larger effort called Time's Up. (You can read the full scope of Time's Up—which will subsidize legal support for individuals who have experienced sexual harassment or related retaliation in the workplace—here.)
We applaud the women who wore black to draw attention to this cause. Though we'd be remiss if we didn't also mention that when it came to fashion, we had a few favourites. Here are a few women we loved seeing on the 75th annual Golden Globes red carpet, drawing attention to this worthy cause, and looking powerful and bold while doing so.
