These quickie ornaments are great for decorating trees, tagging gifts, or just about anything else you can think of!

Size
Each ornament and gift tag is approximately 3–4" (7.5–10 cm)

Materials
• Lion Brand Lion Wool (100% wool, 3 oz/85 g, 158 yd/144 m ball), 1 ball #113 Scarlet
• Lion Brand Tiffany (100% nylon, 1-3/4 oz/50 g, 137 yd/125 m ball), 1 ball #100 White
• Size 8 (5 mm) needles
• Size G-6 (4 mm) crochet hook
• Large-eyed, blunt needle

Gauge
Gauge is not critical.

Note
One ball of each will make at least one of each ornament type.

Stitch explanation
Raglan top shaping
Row 1: Knit 1, slip slip knit, knit to last 3 stitches, knit 2 stitches together, knit 1.
Row 2: Purl.
These two rows form the raglan shaping for the front, back and sleeves.

Sweater ornament
Back
*With knitting needles and yarn A, cast on 16 stitches and work 3 rows of knit 1, purl 1 rib, work 6 rows of stockinette stitch.* Work raglan shaping until 8 stitches rem. Bind off.

Front
Work as for Back from * to *. Work 2 rows of raglan shaping. Divide for neck as follows:
Row 1: K1, ssk, k2, k2tog, turn – 5 sts.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: K1, ssk, k2tog, turn – 3 sts.
Row 4: Purl.
Row 5: Bind off.
Work the opposite side of the sweater, reversing the shaping.

Sleeves – Make 2
Cast on 12 sts in A and work 3 rows of rib.
Beginning with a purl row, work 5 rows of stockinette stitch, then raglan shaping until 4 sts remain. Bind off.

Finishing
Sew the raglan sleeves to the back and front of the body, then sew side seams. Weave in loose ends.
Fluffy Collar
With G hook and 2 strands of B, single crochet in each stitch around neck hole for 2 rounds. Finish off and weave in ends.
Hanging Loop
With G hook and A, chain 25 and fasten off. Sew securely into the back of the sweater between the shoulders.
