How to make a knitted snowflake sweater

Crew-neck pullover with half-drop shoulders is worked in stocking stitch from a graph. Snowflake pattern runs across chest and top of sleeves. Recommended for experienced knitters. Instructions are written for Child's size (C). Any changes for Small (S), Medium (M), Large (L) and Extra Large (XL) are written in brackets. If there is only one set of figures, it applies to all sizes. Standard abbreviations are used.

Chest measurement: 66-71 cm (26-28 ins)
Finished chest measurement: 85 cm (33-1/2 ins)
Centre back length: 50 cm (19-3/4 ins)
Sleeve length to underarm: 43 cm (17 ins)

Small:
Chest measurement: 76-81 cm (30-32 ins)
Finished chest measurement: 96 cm (37-3/4 ins)
Centre back length: 58 cm (22-3/4 ins)
Sleeve length to underarm: 47 cm (18-1/2 ins)

Medium:
Chest measurement: 86-92 cm (34-36-1/4 ins)
Finished chest measurement: 108 cm (42-1/2 ins)
Centre back length: 62 cm (24-1/2 ins)
Sleeve length to underarm: 47 cm (18-1/2 ins)

Large:
Chest measurement: 97-102 cm (38-1/4 – 40 ins)
Finished chest measurement: 119 cm (47 ins)
Centre back length: 66 cm (26 ins)
Sleeve length to underarm: 51 cm (20 ins)

Extra Large:
Chest measurement: 107-112 cm (42-44ins)
Finished chest measurement: 129 cm (50-3/4 ins)

You need:
Download graphs and patterns (PDF format requires free Adobe Acrobat Reader)
Briggs & Little Heritage 2-ply pure wool yarn (100 g) as follows:
4 (5,5,6,7) skeins MC
2 skeins CC
One pair 3.25 mm needles
One pair 4.00 mm needles OR whichever needles you require to produce the tension given below
6 stitch holders
Tapestry needle

Tension:
19 sts and 25 rows = 10 cm (4 ins) in dot pattern (rows 21 to 30 of Front/Back Graph) using larger needles. Work to the exact tension with the specified yarn to obtain satisfactory results.
